After we’ve released aYa-Manku, we talked with lots of different people about their experiences with the game, about it’s strength and weaknesses and after an insanely long time in the review process, are we proud to announce the first update for aYa-Manku, “aYa-Manku 1 And 1 For Free”.
The first thing we wanted to improve was the accessibility for casual gamers. Lot’s of people thought that the game was way to difficult for a “pocket game” and that they would need more shots per level. While aYa-Manku was designed as a challenging high score experience, we tried to come up with a way which allows everyone to participate within this game. And i think we got that. We’ve extended the game cycle, so everyone is now able to use collected fruits / points to buy additional collectors till he finished the level.
In addition to the permanent battle through high scores and achievements, we’ve also integrated OpenFeint Player vs. Player challenges. While leaderboards show the best results based on a specific time frame, the “One Shot” challenges of aYa-Manku will give players a more current way to compare against their friends and enemies. We’ve trained very hard and we’ll accept every challenge from you guys! Our OpenFeint ID is “DustBitGames”.
aYa-Manku was designed with the iPhone / iPod Touch in mine, but with this update, we’ve extended aYa-Manku to an universal app, supporting everything from the original iPhone / iPod Touch, to the iPhone 4 retina display and the iPad with high quality graphics. No separate HD version or anything else, just a free update.
We’ve also added a brand new level with new areas, two new characters, a brand new collector type, playable in every mine and Game Center support through OpenFeint.
I think that’s it for this update. Oh, one more thing. aYa-Manku is on sale $2.99 -> $0.99 USD till November 4th, 2010. Grab it and thanks for playing!
