How We Do It

Dust.Bit.Games is a platform for game developers of all kind, to work on organized projects. At its base, all projects make use of an online workflow allowing developers around the world to work on the same project. The workflow also maintains documentation and communication within the team and integrates necessary tools more deeply into the development process.

Another important component of this workflow is the project-based profit share contract, which every developer has to agree on. This is also our tool to fulfill our idea that the income of a project belongs to the creators of the game. The contract defines the profit share of each project member, based on his/her department and accomplished work (tasks) during the development. Once a game generates revenue, everyone gets a fair share.

Joining our projects give you the opportunity to focus on game development without all the press, community and financial parts, which are necessary to a successful product.

Keep in mind that you still have to deal with your own financial responsibilities within your country.

Our projects always begin with the vision of a game, without restraints like specific platforms, input devices or scope. Once we are satisfied with our vision and decide to make a full game out of it, we’ll start talking about the rest.

The dynamic workflow allows us to easily extend project resources to fit its scope during the development to reduce shortages and unnecessary “crunches”.

We also support a broad range of technologies / programs within our projects, including commercial as well as open source licenses. This allows us to use the knowledge of many different people within our projects.

We are always looking for talented new members to organize new projects. If you are interested in our projects and would like to join one, or if you have any questions regarding the process, write us an e-Mail:

For applications: Please attach everything that you want us to know to your mail (attachments have to be less than 30MB) or include a link where we can find everything. This includes your cv, portfolio, previous work / projects and so on.

Good communication skills are a MUST for our projects. Don’t hesitate to brag about them.

Make sure that you include all your skills and experiences within your application. For example, if you are a programmer and have basic knowledge of image editing software, tell us about it. This doesn’t mean that you’ll have to draw a beautiful picture for us, but it’s a big plus in various situations during a project. Also, don’t forget about development tools like SVN.

We are also interested in your personal motivations about joining us:

  • What are your expectations?
  • Do you have any special interests?
  • How much time do you think you’ll put into such a project?

Some interesting facts about you allows us to find the right projects for our prospective members. Furthermore, we try to answer every application personally. This could take time, so please be patient. We’ll respond as soon as possible. Whenever we start a new project, we’ll contact potential candidates for a short talk with further informations.
